Colombo attorney Nick Ranke represented a small business in the sale of its property to a large developer. After reaching an agreement, the developer attempted to withhold the remaining sale proceeds from the small business.
After the business’ efforts to settle and split the disputed amount of $28,000 failed when the developer rejected the offer, Mr. Ranke filed a motion to enforce the agreement with the circuit court. After extensive oral argument and briefing, the judge granted Mr. Ranke’s motion and awarded payment of the full $28,000 to the small business.
